I will also hear these short melodic guitar ideas in different music styles like; Blues, Motown, Pop-jazz and Funk. Could you make a video talking about the ways that guitarists do this? USAA: When we hear short melodic guitar statements used on guitar there can be a number of different ways that they are being applied. In some cases, an arpeggio idea is used to highlight into specific chord tones. Other times, a section of a Pentatonic Scale might get used to play into some of the tones surrounding a certain chord. And, in other cases two-note chord punches (often referred to by guitarists as double-stops) are used to slide around different chords to both bring in and highlight different chord ideas.
