As in, it’s made up of multiple parts. Parts of your bass technique may be good… and, some may be bad… But there’s one element of your technique that is the fundamental foundation to your sound, your tone, your dynamics and much more… in fact, when I meet a student for the first time it’s the very first thing I look at - because if that’s not right, they're in big trouble! In this lesson I’m going to reveal exactly what this technique is, and show you 5 essential tips to master it. === Right now over 10,000 bass players are enrolled in the Academy here at Scott's Bass Lessons and are making a real difference to their playing... if you're really serious about getting your bass playing together, click here to find out more and grab your 14 day free trial: https://bit.ly/2O4gyIo

That's a big statement, right? So let me give you the back story. Last week I published a short video on YouTube of me jamming along with a groove (using the drum machine we're about to launch inside ScottsBassLessons for our members)... And in that video I played a short little lick, and thought nothing else of it. ... Until my inbox was FILLED with emails asking about that lick, lol Seriously. I've been publishing videos on YouTube for 7 years - and this one lick is the one I've been asked about the most. Obviously, I knew I needed to film a quick lesson for you so you can get this lick into your own toolkit... So... it's done. In this lesson you're going to hear the lick, and then I'm going to break it down for you bit by bit so you can not only get this lick into your own vocabulary, but also understand why it works from a theoretical standpoint.
