The Starline 4606
60 Guitars, Celebrating 60 Years
Of the many guitars that comprise of Maton's long, rich history, it was the Starline that laid the foundations on which Maton thrives today. Originally produced in the 1940's, the Starline was Maton's flagship model and was highly prized by guitarists of the time.

The guitar has a hollow-bodied f-hole design, with a 16” wide sound box and solid carved spruce face. And features fine detailing such as the ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl block inlays and the 9th fret inlay is engraved with Maton founder Bill May’s signature. The 12th fret inlay is engraved with the words “Anniversary”. This spectacular guitar is one for the collectors of rare and special instruments.

The Limited edition re-issue is both a fitting tribute to the original guitar, as well as the spectacular result of the marriage of traditional guitar making techniques and modern manufacturing.
