金属大国瑞典的Dream Evil来头不小，因为本团正是由In Flames、Hammerfall、Opeth、Dimmu Borgir等欧陆金属大团之知名制作人Fredrick Nordstrom所创立，由他负责吉他和键盘，其他成员包含吉他手Gus G. (Mystic Prophecy,Firewind)，鼓手Snowy Shaw (Mercyful Fate, King Diamond) 以及曾参与Hammerfall合音的主唱Niklas Isfeldt和创作的贝斯手Peter Stalfors，一支明星级金属乐团终於在2002年成军！
Dream Evil is the pet project of producer Fredrik Nordstrom and guitarist Gus G., both of whom felt they could easily become a strong force in the metal underground if they teamed up. Forming a power metal foursome with drummer Snowy Shaw and vocalist Niklas Isfeldt, the band recorded Dragon Slayer and released it in the summer of 2002. In 2003, the humorous Evilized put a new spin on their sound, offering several self-consciously silly lyrics that fit well into their improved approach.
