Tides of Man, the progressive rock group hailing from Tampa Bay Florida, Formed in December 2007, blends classical, romantic composition with driving rock and roll, using heavy drums, intricate guitar work and unique butter-melting vocals.

They released their self-titled EP only a few months later .In the short span that the unsigned band has existed they have achieved notable Internet recognition, (over 48,000 MySpace friends, with up to 2000 plays a day). The band’s ultimate goal is to conquer the rock and roll scene, incorporating intense communication lyrically and sonically, yet still in a style that is familiar enough to capture the hearts of the masses.

In the final stages of composition, Empire Theory’s detectable influences span from The Mars Volta, Coheed & Cambria and Bjork, to Explosions in the Sky, Radiohead and Pink Floyd. The album’s epic story tackles contemporary world issues, but focuses on communicating purpose, success and failure, war, torture, hate, love, friendship forgiveness and enlightenment. Tides of Man seek to inspire individuals to create beauty in their own lives, whether through art or simply by improving their day-to-day decisions.
