Live [Direct Source]专辑介绍

Just about every shaggy-haired Camaro-driving U.S. teen circa the mid-'70s must have had at least one eight-track of both Blue Öyster Cult and Nazareth in their dashboards. Since both acts were stylistically similar (having scored a mega-hit apiece in 1976) and have kept rocking and rolling ever since, it makes sense that they would be paired together for a budget-priced release, 2005's imaginatively titled Live. With the two bands getting five tracks each, Live provides a sampling of how each veteran group has held up all these years later, and expectedly, includes their best-known tracks. Although Blue Öyster Cult and Nazareth are best known for headbanging heavy metal, tuneful detours for both groups yielded their best-known tracks -- "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" and "Love Hurts," respectively -- which are both included here. Also included are such additional standouts as BÖC's early-'80s hit "Burnin' for You," as well as a Nazareth rocker that would later be covered by Guns N' Roses, "Hair of the Dog." The set is obviously aimed at middle-aged rockers interested in revisiting their youths, and from that standpoint, Live certainly succeeds.
