本名Saul Hudson的Slash，深受Jimi Hendrix和Led Zepplin影响、最为熟悉的身份之一就是全球破亿销量 枪与玫瑰乐团(Guns N' Roses)的首席吉他手。一头夸张的野性长发遮不住他充满摇滚气息的脸庞，加上各种造型夸张的黑色高顶礼帽，搭配大副墨镜及随性的姿态，Slash可说是摇滚乐界极具辨识度的艺人。吉他技艺更如天神般超凡绝圣，无人能及的演奏实力，加上现场的实时感染力，Slash获选时代杂志「史上十大最优电吉他手」亚军殊荣，同时也被Gigwise选为「50位伟大吉他手」，更与Jimi Hendrix、Jimmy Page等音乐传奇人物同列「摇滚星光大道」之林。独树一格的魅力，让许多知名音乐人，如Lenny Kravitz、Paul Rogers、Iggy Pop、Michael Jackson及Brian May，连知名导演Quentin Tarantino都指定要与他合作。
1996年Slash与枪与玫瑰主唱Axl理念不和离团，满载摇滚能量的他，随即另组Slash's Snakepit乐团。2002年，Slash找来Duff McKagan(贝斯手)及Matt Sorum(鼓手)，前Stone Temple Pilots主唱Scott Weiland，共组Velvet Revolver乐团，不负众望的在销售创下佳绩，更获葛莱美?「最佳硬式摇滚演出」大奖肯定。
2010年Slash推出首张个人同名专辑《Slash》，力邀Fergie、Adam Levine、Dave Grohl、Iggy Pop等合作。相隔两年，此次Slash找来Post-Grunge大团Alter Bridge首脑Myles Kennedy担任主唱，巡回时期的最佳战友Todd Kerns(贝斯手)及Brent Fitz(鼓手)合作，由摇滚大师Eric Valentine(Good Charlotte、Lostprophets、Third Eye Blind)担任制作，推出摇滚气度豪迈的全新个人作品《Apocalyptic Love》。从按下播放键开始，宛如在卧房参加摇滚演唱会盛宴般，Slash弹指间仿佛有魔力，同时召唤出主唱的嗓音、奔放鼓点及扎实吉他音墙。专辑收录包括首支单曲〈You're a Lie〉、史诗情歌佳作〈Not For Me〉、摇滚元素全到位〈Standing in the Sun〉、值得再三玩味的〈No More Heroes〉共十三首撩拨情绪、释放强大力道的摇滚乐音。影音豪华盘CD加收〈Carolina〉及〈Crazy Life〉两首话题新曲，DVD收录全长约28分钟专辑制作纪录短片。
Apocalyptic Love is the second studio album by Slash, the current lead guitarist of Velvet Revolver and formerly of Guns N' Roses. The album will feature Slash's band, consisting of vocalist Myles Kennedy, bassist Todd Kerns, and drummer Brent Fitz (collectively referred to as "Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators"). It is produced by Eric Valentine。All lyrics and music written by Slash and Myles Kennedy.
Slash began working on his second solo album in June 2011. As of December 2011, three songs have been recorded: "Halo," "Standing in the Sun," and "Bad Rain." Slash has described the new music as "very heavy". As of February 6, the recording of "Apocalyptic Love" was finished.
On February 7, Slash tweeted that the band were setting up to rehearse the new material and film their whole performance of the entire new record with Mativision. On February 24 it was announced that "You're a Lie" will be the first single from the upcoming album, being released to radio on the February 27. The preview of the new single can be heard on Slash's official website - slashonline.com
Kennedy has said that some of the lyrics on the album are about using drugs in his early years.
