The story behind this song is quite funny. Gareth Pearson wrote it after drinking a "super" energy drink called 5 Hour Shot. One shot is equal to 5 Red Bull drinks. Gareth was suffering from jetlag, so he thought that drinking this perticular drink could help him dealing a bit with his jetlag. But he misinterpreted the name of the drink, because of his dislexia, so he had five "5 hour shots" which had the same effect as drinking 25 Red Bull drinks.
