清夜语

潭无影，谷无猿、秋又来
石桥耸曦月去，三峡已变迁
白云隐，霾雾行
寻不见
七百里江下的家园

车未归，人未还，灰飘散
断桥处夜空中，泪花风干
梦里寻，恨难平，满心寒
清夜语，似故人重现

银河，明月不见啦，童年都去哪了
庙宇，庭院不见了，时光都去哪了
蓝天，草原不见啦，故乡都去哪了
山川，湖泊不见了（我们明天要去哪呀）

(There is) No shadow in the pond.
No ape in the valley.
Autumn comes once more.
The stone bridge’s there while the sun and the moon have gone.
The Three Gorges are no longer the same.
The white clouds hide, in the diffuse fogs,
Could’t be found, the homeland along the riverside.

Cars didn’t return.
People wasn’t back.
Ashes drifted away.
At the bridge underneath the night sky, tears were dried by the wind.
Seeking in the dream, hate cannot be forget, and coldness fill one’s mind.
It feels like same old friends come back when we hear the whisper in the night.

In the galaxy, the moon has gone. Where is the childhood?
In the temples, the yards disappeared. Where is the time?
In the blue sky, grasslands have gone. Where are the hometowns?
Beside the mountains, lakes disappeared. Where shall we go tomorrow?
