Rated as one of the top 30 guitarists in the world under 30 years of age by Acoustic Guitar magazine, comes an instrumentalist from Philadelphia whose compositions range in style from edgy driving rhythms to soft melodic phrases. Trevor Gordon Hall sets himself apart by leaving no physical aspect of the guitar untouched and weaving together different textures into grand yet intimate and lyrical compositions. His blend of each sound doesn’t overcomplicate but focuses on utilizing the instrument’s fullest creative and compositional potential.  Trevor draws on his education in Philosophy and Theology in his dedication to expressing ideas and inspirations through music, and his focus on composition guides listeners through an igniting experience of music that isn’t just heard but felt.
In recent years, Trevor caught the eye of 9 time Grammy Award winning producer Joe Nicolo (James Taylor, Billy Joel, Bob Dylan, etc.), who produced two of Trevor’s releases, entitled “Finding My Way” and “Let Your Heart Be Light”, in 2008 and 2009. These releases garnered high reviews and gave Trevor such opportunities as recording with bass virtuoso Michael Manring and sharing the stage with artists such as Pat Martino, Phil Keaggy, Don Ross, Andy McKee, The California Guitar Trio, Billy Cobham and many more.
In 2010, inspired by his studies and always on the hunt for new sounds to utilize, Trevor collaborated with various builders to redesign an instrument called the kalimba (African finger piano).  He designed a version that sits flat on the top of the guitar and spans 2 octaves of the piano.  The instrument combination, which Trevor calls the “Kalimbatar”, is opening up new possibilities for solo instrumental music.  Compositions inspired by the pairing of the two instruments were first introduced in previous releases but fully realized in Trevor’s Candyrat Records debut “Entelechy”.  Upon its release in 2011, this album climbed the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts, as well as YouTube Top Commented/Top Favorited/Most Discussed categories with the release of videos.
In preparation for his latest album, Trevor redesigned and fine-tuned the Kalimba/Guitar combination with the help of master luthier Sheldon Schwartz.  Trevor recorded with his new instrument at Imaginary Road Studios in Windham County, VT, during the summer of 2014. This was a unique experience as Trevor got the opportunity to record with Grammy winning producer Will Ackerman (founder of Windham Hill Records) and engineer/production master Tom Eaton. What made this special was that Will, and other artists he produced such as Michael Hedges and George Winston, was among Trevor’s earliest inspirations and had a role in not only elevating the acoustic guitar scene to what it is today, but also igniting Trevor at a young age to play and compose. Trevor’s new album entitled “Mind Heart Fingers” is the result a unique experience created between Will, Tom and Trevor, to capture a heart-felt recording honoring the guitar tradition which Windham Hill helped to found, while looking forward to what is next for the guitar scene.
Trevor’s music is continuing to win the hearts of fans and major industry professionals ranging from Graham Nash (Crosby, Stills and Nash) to Steve Hackett (Genesis) to Will Ackerman (founder of Windham Hill Records) and many more.  Trevor has been featured on various national radio stations including NPR, television networks including NBC and magazines including Acoustic Guitar Magazine.  In addition to recording, Trevor performs regularly throughout the USA, Canada, and Europe.
