http://www.tonydickinson.net Killer first track from the new album. I started this tab by just doing the intro because I really wanted to figure out what the hell was going on. About an hour later all the guitars were finished! Kinda short song...Oh well. Anyway I've double checked fingerings and legato based on live videos on Youtube, so this should be good. On the album, Jeff's left speaker guitar in the intro does a different pattern of legato, picking and palm muting than the right for some reason. The right speaker guitar seems to be closer to how he does it live, so both guitars are notated as such. I put those sustained notes on the lead tracks because those palm muted chugged power chords are a more important rhythm part. I feel that the fingerings during the ending guitar solo are a little weird, but I figured them to be accurate based on shapes that Jeff Loomis likes to use in his solos. But I always welcome secondary opinions if anyone else has better ideas. Also, bass is pretty much indecipherable (damn you, Andy Sneap!) but I've done the best I can with the bass. If anyone else can hear more notes, please drop me a line at tony@tonydickinson.net
