匈牙利Symphonic Black/Death Metal乐队，组建于1996年。
The band was formed in Hungary, 1996. Besides continous practices we recorded an English demo material called Remember.
We played at some talent scout festivals and then we did our second demo record Thought Creating God. This issue was a great leap forward for us. We received friendly feedbacks from presses and fans, too.
In the next few years we were invited to Hungary’s biggest festivals: LMS and PEPSI SZIGET where the audience honoured us with unanticipated appreciation.
Christian Epidemic also played as a guest of Replika and Intense (Agonizing?) and then we did a nationwide tour with Carbon Cage, and thereafter with Tesstimony and Diafragma.
The next highlight after these gigs was our self-organized Hungarian tour: we travelled the land around with fine success.
We did shows almost in all Hungarian towns.
Beginning of 1999 we did our cassette-EP Gyász, which was a bilingual material with 22 minutes duration.
The first night of the EP’s introduction passed off in the Hungarian cultic underground club called Lyuk with Sear Bliss and Tormentor. It was an awesome experience.
In autumn 1999 we did another tour in Hungary along with Pokolgép and Nemesis.
During this period our first video staff was released for the song ’Fájdalom Koronája’.
We signed to the label ’Nephilim Kiadó’ in 2000 and recorded our debut album ’Isteni Orgia’ in Budapest. The introduction tour was performed as the guest of band Pokolgép.
A year after (in Mai 2001) we went to studio again in order to record our new LP ’Eltörölt Világ / World Erased’ which was released under the sign of Nail Records as a double-LP with English and Hungarian lyrics, too.
We did several shows with several bands during this period. And we continously prepared for our new LP.
The third Christian Epidemic LP ’Könnyek Könyve / Tome of Tears’ was issued in summer 2005.
2006 was the absolute highlight in the band’s life. Besides dozens of domestic sold-out gigs a regional mini-tour was performed in the Czech Republic and in Poland. Then we celebrated our 10th anniversary of Christian Epidemic’s existence with a birthday concert, which was a graceful ending of a succesful decade.
After some other gigs we made a short pause.
In December 2010 we recorded 8 brand new bilingual songs in Audioplanet Studio. The new LP of Christian Epidemic called ’Pusztítástan / Primordial Soul’ was introduced for the fans at Metalfest Open Air Hungary 2011 along with bands such as Kreator, Cradle Of Filth, Sabaton, Saxon, Arch Enemy, Kataklysm etc.
The unconcealed goal of Christian Epidemic is now to spread our music all around Europe and let the fans know our name. We’re looking forward for gigs and tour opportunities either in Western or Eastern Europe.
