Not only is Pezcore the record that kicked off Less Than Jake's underground success, but it also inspired a million suburban ska-punk bands all across the U.S. Depending on your perspective, LTJ is praised and cursed for being this influential. But who wouldn't be inspired after listening to Pezcore? The music is an instant party conveniently packaged into a compact disc (or LP depending on your preferred format). The energy is thick, the level of fun is high, and the cynicism is nowhere to be found upon hearing the ska guitar riffs. Besides, hits like "Liquor Store," "My Very Own Flag," and "One Last Cigarette" could put a smile on the harshest anti-ska head.
