On November 14, 2014, Phil Labonte announced that he released a new song from the new album, the song ended up being entitled "No Knock" which will be released officially in digital stores on November 24, 2014.
"No Knock", a brand new song from Massachusetts metallers ALL THAT REMAINS, The track is expected to appear on the band's next CD, which was recorded at a California studio for a tentative January 2015 release via Razor & Tie. The follow-up to 2012's "A War You Cannot Win" was helmed by producer Josh Wilbur, who has previously worked with LAMB OF GOD and GOJIRA.
In January 2014, the band reported through their official Facebook page, that they have started writing their seventh studio album.
On June 26, 2014, it was confirmed that the band is now in pre-production on their new album with producer Josh Wilbur, who has previously worked with Lamb of God and Gojira. The as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2012's "A War You Cannot Win" is tentatively due before the end of the year via Razor & Tie. It was annonced on Phil Labonte's Facebook page and the All That Remains' website, that their newest album will be released in 2015.. During an interview with Phil Labonte on the Jasta Show, Phil stated that the new forthcoming record will more than likely be released in January.
During a recent interview, ALL THAT REMAINS singer Phil Labonte revealed that he thought "A War You Cannot Win" was one of the band's worst albums and has vowed to make up for it on their upcoming seventh studio effort. Labonte said, "I think this [new] record is far and away better than our last one. 'A War You Cannot Win' had some of our biggest singles — I think, overall, the record sucked.”
Labonte added about the new album: "Personally, I think we have a lot of songs that are better. We've got 12 songs and there’s probably four or five that are beginning-to-end singing. There's some screaming worked into two or three."
The outspoken frontman also hinted at tension with the band's record label, explaining, "One of the label guys was, like, 'Are you okay with these lyrics?' And he wasn't asking me, he was asking Josh… I'm like, 'So you're going to criticize my art? Go fuck yourself. Now, not only am I not interested in what you're going to say about this song — I'm not interested in what you're going to say about anything else.'"
ALL THAT REMAINS had a No. 2 single on the rock radio chart earlier this year with "What If I Was Nothing", which marked a stylistic departure for the band.
